About My Photography

Photography is everything to me. My interest in photography began approximately four years-ago when I began using a Canon point and shoot to document my life and hobbies. What began as a tiny element in my life has become a driving force.

I have spent a great deal of time studying photography in the classroom, the darkroom, and on my own through books and mentors. I have a passion for film, but also a great appreciation for a digital workflow.

I am often asked what type of photographs I like to take, and I really can't say. The work I am most proud of is represented in the Abstract gallery on this site. The connection I feel between a subject and myself is often unexplainable, and the photographs in the Abstract gallery represent the connections I have made while being involved in photography.

About Me

I am a recent graduate of Washington State University's Digital Technology and Culture program. In August 2007 I received my B. A. degree as well as a professional writing certificate, both of which I am very proud of.

My current interests outside the realm of photography include: motorcycles, the outdoors, and music. A passion for photography barely begins to describe me, and I continue to push myself to expand visually to become a better photographer.
