I'm pretty sure no one in Nara, Japan has said that. They do a damn good job of it though during their annual fire festival. Wakakusa Yamayaki is an annual festival in which the dry grass of Mt. Wakakusayama are lit on fire.
The festival itself has taken place for hundreds of years and involves several local temples. While the origins of the festival itself are unknown, one thing is for sure: this is a must see event for travelers to Japan.
