If you've been to Japan you no doubt have a story to tell about motorcycles or scooters and it probably has the words crazy, insane, or mad in it. Motorcycling here is removed from anything I've ever seen. If you leave an inch it will be taken and if you leave three inches someone is sure to squeeze past you.
When I came to Japan I was pretty set on just leaving the motorcycles we had in the states and picking up something new in Japan. Motorcycles are plentiful and prices are cheap enough that it actually made sense. And how could having more motorcycles be bad?
The problem I'm having now is that the CBR250 is really about the perfect motorcycle for Japan and I happen to have one in the good ole US of A in storage. The CBR250 is perfect for a number of reasons. It is small and lightweight and very agile. Perfect for when obasan wants to step out in front of you while you're riding full speed ahead and you have to make a sudden swerve in a tight spot.
