After what seemed like an eternity of flying I arrived in Japan on the 30th of March. Within hours of landing I of course had developed the complimentary cold that airlines are now giving out in lieu of snacks and was jet lagged to say the least.
Truth be told it was pretty surreal to arrive here. Visiting Japan, much less, living in Japan is something I've wanted to do for ten years now and I feel blessed on a daily basis being here. There is a lot to learn and it's not going to be the easiest place to live, but so far I love it.
The first day was pretty relaxed: run errands, drop off luggage, etc. . . Day two however was pretty wild. Candice and some of her friends wanted to go see Kanamara Matsuri, which is this fertility festival in Kawasaki, Japan. The festival was nothing short of the strangest thing I've ever seen. Lots of penis' everywhere in candy form on shirts, and of course as statues. Oddly enough a lot of trannies were there too, but hey, who am I to judge.
So far it's everything I could have hoped for and more. I'm hoping to get a little more settled and start shooting more in the weeks to come. Bookmark this and pass it along to friends it will be worth it.
